Faith of Life Network joined major National Muslims Organizations on Jan 24, 2010 in co-sponsoring a Haiti Fund Raising dinner under the theme:: " As Muslims We Care and We Share!". The event took place at the Islamic Centre of Canada in Mississauga where a couple of hundreds of people showed up to donate, pray and show sympathy to the Haiti an nation.

The audience listened to different speakers, scholars and elected government leaders. Dr. Hamid Slimi stressed the importance of involving the Muslim communities of Canada and the world in the international effort responding to Haiti earthquake disaster. He emphasized that charity should be made available to any human who is suffering as the Qur'an teaches and that it does not and should not discriminate based on any religious or ethnic differences. He said, "the Hatian people are our brothers and sisters and God loves to see the brothers and sisters help each other and He will reward everyone who makes any effort in this regard."
